My Summer is Over

I sit at a mooring buoy in Plumber Cove just one day from Vancouver. We had our roughest sailing in 5 months today with a 25 knot SE wind. It would have been nice to just wait the weather out but we have to be to Calgary in a few days.
I sit alone writing this blog after witnessing the best sunset since we left. It is a full moon and the sky is lit up, competing with the lights from houses. Civilization!
Wow it feels strange. It has been a great summer. I look forward to visiting with friends and attending the Pensioner’s Banquet but I will miss the tranquility we have found.
We are exited to say the kids are doing extremely well. RJ made it on the Fort McMurray Fire Dept and starts Oct. 22. Alanna has been accepted to med school in Australia but is being convinced by the Dean at U of C and Doctors at Foothills to wait and see what happens this Spring. She has a major decision to make. I am sure she knows what is best for her.
We plan on getting jobs in Vancouver and getting the boat ready for the big trip beginning next Aug.
Many of you have been following this blog and it has been fun to keep many friends informed to what we have been doing.

Hi

Great to hear the kids are doing great. How nice for RJ to get his job and what an opporturnity for alanna, but yes quite a decision. Like you say I am sure she will make the right one for her.

Take care.

Love

Helene & Werner
